An exam and diagnosis from a medical doctor prior to making a decision would be considered the safest method to dealing with what is often more of an embarrassing feature rather than a medically dangerous disorder.

Gynecomastia surgery can take from 3-4 hours depending upon the complexity of the procedure. In my area the cost to do this surgery is around 2500$ and it depends on the complexity.

I just had gynecomastia surgery on 10/3/2010. I interviewed three surgeons here in Orange County California and the prices ranged from 7000-4000. All suggested aggressive liposuction and were not really wanting to remove any glandular tissue because it may cause a chest deformity. Surgery only takes 1 hour and recovery is one hour with local anasteshia which causes no nausea. The pain is minnimal and with Vicodin you cant really feal much the worst part is that you have o sleep sitting up for the first two days to keep the possibility of blood from collecting in the chest area. If you are like me and have been this way most of your adult life you cant put a price or pain to the possibility to someday take off your shirt in poublic with no embarrasment.
