Compression Clothing For Gynecomastia
Compression Clothing For Gynecomastia
Compression clothing is used in a number of ways for gynecomastia sufferers. First and foremost it is used to aid healing following gynecomastia surgery but it is also widely worn to hide male breasts.
This page looks primarily at compression apparel worn after surgery. If you’re looking for information on compression clothing to help disguise man boobs then please check out these posts.
How Can Compression Clothing Help My Healing?
Recovery from male breast reduction surgery is classified in two stages, aptly named stage one and stage two. Stage one is the initial two weeks following the operation and stage two is weeks two to eight of recovery.
Compression clothing for each of these stages is specific to that stage and designed to provide the optimum healing benefit and comfort during recovery.
Following male breast reduction surgery your consultant will tell you to wear a compression garment such as a compression vest or compression T shirt. There are many reasons for this but primarily it is because compression clothing improves blood flow therefore accelerating the healing process. Gynecomastia compression cloths also help to flush the body of potentially harmful fluids, reduce the swelling and allow the wearer to return to his daily routines much sooner then he would without the garment.
These are not the only benefits of wearing compression clothing for gynecomastia, They are also shown to provide much needed support to the areas of surgery for a more comfortable healing process. The skin tend to ‘fit’ better after wearing a compression vest or tee shirt, by this I mean that there will be less signs of surgery, less baggy skin and fewer post op’ surgery marks this is because compression cloths reduce tension on the wounds and prevent the stretching. Finally, they can also help to prevent patients experiencing the uncomfortable, annoying ‘throbbing’ of the wounds often experienced after male breast reduction surgery.
The length of time you will need to wear a compression garment depends on a number of factors which your doctor will asses and make a recommendation. You may need to wear the cloths for both stage one and stage two of gynecomastia surgery recovery. Therefore it is often more cost effective to buy a male compression garment recovery kit. These have compression clothing for each stage of recovery and are more convenient and generally much cheaper than buying individual items.
As mentioned, the two stages of gynecomastia recovery require two different types of compression garments. Although they look similar and are both worn as underwear, they each perform a very different function.
Stage One Gynecomastia Compression Clothing
Stage one compression garments are worn immediately after surgery and then continuously for the next few day, or sometimes longer. It is usual to leave it on at all times except when showering or bathing. For the remainder of stage one recovery, which is up to two weeks, the garment is worn less every day.
During stage one a lot of drainage takes place from the fresh wounds, for this reason it is usual to buy more that one stage one compression garment.
Stage Two Gynecomastia Compression Clothing
Stage two gynecomastia compression clothing is also worn as underwear and is generally required from week two to eight of the healing period, although your doctor may alter this to suit the way your body recovers, and like stage one garments, you will be required to wear it a little less every day.
Stage two garments are sized smaller than stage one clothing and so will seem like a much more snug fit. They are also much less bulky and more stylish. It is possible to wear stage two compression cloths as outerwear with many different styles of gynecomastia vest and compression t shirts available.

I bought this primarily as a chest compressor, but it is pretty useful all around. The shirt will work but when buying the item make extra certain that you get the correct size.

Advancements in cosmetic surgeies are at yearly highs, as evidenced by themale models, and even now smaller cities around the country are currently being taken to new heights by safer cosmetic treatments. The practice of beauty and anti-aging has been around for quite some time and it works favorably to have older adults maintain their youth.

Apple has not confirmed an official UK cost but Bundlebox, founded by former Google executive Andre Schmidt, is predicting it is going to be close to £30 less expensive if it’s purchased immediately in the US.
